As a beauty lover and enthusiast, it’s hard for me to come up with a favorites list. I use sooooooooooooooooo many products and whiting down a list of my favorites is just too hard to do.

But there are just some products that stand out. The ones that actually do the work and then become your favorites. This is a post about those products – my current favorite makeup and skincare products.

This list includes products from The Beauty Frenzy, one of my favorite online stores to shop from. They stock a wide range of products from different brands such as Maybelline, Bad Habit, Makeup Revolution, Colourpop, Juvia’s Place and more. But the brand I want to talk about first is The Ordinary.

The Ordinary is a makeup and skincare brand from DECIEM. They are one of the hottest brands around because 1) they products actually work and 2) the skincare is affordable. Like, N4,000/N5,000/N6,000 affordable. Good skincare can be very expensive so when I saw the pocket friendly prices, I knew I had to have some of these products in my life. The only issue I has is that I didn’t know how to get the products in Nigeria (that is a major problem if you like makeup and skincare like me).

Enter The Beauty Frenzy – they have the widest range of The Ordinary products here in Nigeria. If you’re looking for anything from The Ordinary and other DECIEM brands, you should check them out. You can use my discount code – DEOLA – to get a sweet discount when you shop on the site.

Here are some of my favorite products from The Ordinary.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

The Glycolic Acid Toning Solution is probably the best toner I have ever used. In the quest for even and smooth skin, I have tried a lot of stuff but this stuff right here is GOLD. It’s gentle enough for everyday use and it doesn’t strip and dry out the skin. Overtime (and in combination with the next product), I have noticed my skin become smoother, softer and more radiant. You want to know what makes my skin glow? This toner right here (and th acid peel as well)

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Acid peels are NO JOKE, especially at such high concentrations like the AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution that The Ordinary has. If you’re looking for a super powerful acid peel, you should def look into this product. If your skin isn’t used to acids in such a high combination, you should be careful and not leave it on your skin for more than 10 minutes. I only keep mine on for 5 mins sef and it still works wonders. How does it work you ask? By peeling off dead skin cells, this acid peel reveals fresh, smooth and glowy skin without drying you out. I use this product twice a week in combination with the toner and I haven’t looked back ever since.

The Ordinary High=Adherence Silicone Primer

The Ordinary Colours Coverage Foundation

If you watch my Youtube channel (which you should SUBSCRIBE to btw), you’ll know these products well. The High Adherence Silicone Primer paired with the High Coverage foundation are a match made in heaven. These two products were included in my best of 2017 video and I haven’t found anything that replaces them yet.

Apart from The Ordinary, The Beauty Frenzy stocks some other great products and here are a few of my faves.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen

I won’t lie – I’m not frequent sunscreen wearer. The sunscreens I used to use would leave a weird cast of grey and I’m not about that ashy life at all.

This sunscreen is different – no ashy cast, fast absorbing, and very light on the skin. I use it every time I leave the house + it’s water resistant which means it’s beach and pool friendly.

Maybelline Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder

Loose finishing powders are important to me as they help to tie my makeup together and create a beautiful and flawless look. The Maybelline powder is great at doing all this plus, it’s available in different shades which means you can even get a highlight shade in this powder. I haven’t tried out the light shades yet but it’s in my cart and I’ll be buying it soon

Makeup Revolution Luxury Powder in Banana

This powder is a bit lighter than the Sacha but I love it anyway. It’s so smooth and finely milled. Works great on the under eye area and really gives me that bright under eye look I love

Here are some of my other favorite makeup products.

Zaron Cosmetics Healthy Glow Foundation

This baby doesn’t give you a lot of time to blend but when when you blend it out, you’ll be left with a beautfiful coverage and a wonderful finish. Def one of my favorite foundations of the year.

Zaron Cosmetics Lengthing Mascara

Apart from the cute packaging, this mascara really lengthens my lashes. Love it so so much!

Maybelline Browdrama Sculpting Brow Mascara

I was never a fan of brow gels until I met this one. I bought it on a whim and it ended up being one of my favorites. I use this to sleek down my curly brows. It’s also great for days when you want a more ‘natural’ looking brow.

I got these products last year from Tosave and I’ve been using them ever since. The liquid highlights are so so beautiful on the skin and the liquid glitter liners really jazz up my eye looks. You can see more about them in this post I did earlier in the month.

I have been seeing The Ordinary every where lately and I went to their website to read more about the products and find out which ones would work well for hyperpigmentation. I found a lot of useful information on their website. They have guides that can help one pick which product will work best and how to combine their products and which one to use before the other.

Great review Deola (as always)

Any thoughts?
