Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity of being invited to have a one on one session with MAC Cosmetics and Marco Louis, the Resident Senior Artist for Sub Saharan Africa. He’s super talented and it was an honour having him do my makeup and reintroduce me to the famous Mac Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid Foundation.

Mac’s Studio Fix Fluid isn’t new at all. In fact, it’s one of Mac’s oldest foundation formulas. It was the first foundation I ever used and IMO, its one of the best full coverage foundations on the market.

Here are some foundation tips I learnt from Marco plus some other tips I’ve picked up along my makeup journey:

  • For a dewy look, mix your foundation with your strobe cream to give your skin a glowy look
  • To take your foundation from full coverage to medium/light coverage, mix it with a moisturizer or a moisturizing primer
  • For a more natural highlight, use a cream base like Mac Cosmetics ‘Improper Copper’ and use you fingers to blend it on the high points of your face for that ‘glow from within effect’

Have you every tried out the Mac Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid Foudation? What is your favorite foundation? Do let me know in the comment section below!
