There has been a lot of hype about Stephanie Coker’s new venture, Krochet Kulture. If you have never heard of Krochet Kulture, they are a brand of kinky hair that come pre-twisted. All you have to do is use a crochet hook to install it into your hair.

Once I saw the pictures of the hair, I wanted to try them out. First, there was some issue ordering it because they shifted their orders to Konga but I couldn’t find them. And the fact everything was sold out every time I tried to order it.

I didn’t want to order the blue twists but I was so tired of waiting for the grey to come back in stock. I just closed my eyes, ordered it and hoped for the best.

They said a minimum of four packs would be enough for the “24 but it wasn’t enough. I had to leave some parts of my hair undone at the back. What they also don’t tell you is how big the twists are. They are HUGE but very light. So they were not heavy but so hard to pack. Getting it into a ponytail was very hard because they are bulky.  Also think about the fact that I used FOUR packs of bulky hair and it still wasn’t enough.

Another thing I want to point out is how rough the hair got. It got so rough just a week in and I have used kinky hair before so I know how to take care of it. One of my  friends said that he saw the black twists and it looks and feels a lot more better.

VERDICT – I like the hair. It’s soft, light and easy to install. The color is also very vibrant and so out there (just the way I like it). However, the twists are really big so it makes it hard to put in a bun or put it in a ponytail because it is bulky. Also, it got rough very fast. This is the end of the second week of this hair and I look like I have had it on for months

I like the idea and the ease this hair gives. I just wish it wasn’t so damn bulky.

I like the idea but it sure looks heavy. And if that is 4 and it isn’t enough, I’m not sure I want it. But blur sure looks good on you.

It’s actually not heavy! My issue is with how big the individual twists are. It makes it so hard to put in a bun or ponytail
