It’s Manicure Monday!!!
This is sort of a tribute to my favorite beauty blog, Beauty in Lagos. Every Monday, she posts about her manicure, what color/brand the polish is and where she got it done. It’s a simple post but I always look forward to it as I love discovering new nail colors and places to buy them from.
I looked at my own collection of polishes and decided to swatch and review them. My definition of swatching for nail polish means wearing it so that’s what I did. Enjoy my mini reviews below!
Zora by Julep
This is Zora. I like her because she is bright and great for standing out. She looks good against my skintone and I hate I don’t wear her as often. It’s from Julep and I believe you can still buy it online.
Veronica by Julep
Veronica goes so well with me that I almost don’t like it. I don’t like nail colors that blend in and don’t add an element of ‘something’ to my outfit or makeup. So I like it and I don’t like it. Strange , I know. Another Julep nail polish and check it out here
Padma by Julep
Padma is this deep and sparkly purple that makes me feel like a goddess. It’s so sexy and so smooth. It’s very thick tho and application can be a bitch! Julep polish; check out the site here.
591 by ???
I call this 591 because the sticker with the name on the bottom peeled off and the sticker on the back has the number 591 on it. I love this color and it is my go-color for the week. My friends call it ‘rich lady red’ because of how rich the color is. I don’t even know the brand name 🙁
Naughty Nautical by Essie
This is a beautiful marine blue-green shimmer that I loveeee to wear. Essie gets nail polish right! Buy here
Spitfire by Sineful Shine
I got this polish free to review when I was part of the Influenster program. It’s a great color for days you want something bright and fun. Not my every week polish but I def use it when I need a pick me up. Buy here
I was part of The Pink Panel, a select community where people get to review products for free. They sent me this nail polish that Nailtini created for The Pink Panel. It’s the perfect shade of pink and I love it so much. Since it is a special edition nail polish, I don’t know where you can get it again 🙁
Come back tomorrow at 12 for another post in our September Issue!
